Chai Walli Chaijito Recipe

Ingredients for 1 serve
- 2-3 tablespoons Chai Sugar Syrup (directions below) or Chai Walli Syrup (buy here)
- 3 Lime Wedges
- 30ml White Rum
- 5 Mint Leaves
- 5 Coriander Sprigs
- Ice cubes
- Soda water
- 1/2 tsp of Chai Walli to garnish on top (Caffeine Free blend recommended)
Directions for 1 serve
- Squeeze lime wedges into the cup and leave the wedges in the cup as a garnish.
- Add mint leaves and coriander sprigs.
- Add one (or more) shots of white rum and ice cubes.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of your Chai Walli syrup and muddle all the ingredients together.
- Top up with soda water and garnish with a sprinkle of chai.
Chai Walli Sugar Syrup Recipe
Ingredients for 1 cup
- 50g Chai Walli (11 Spice Chai blend recommended)
- 200g Sugar (you can use caster sugar, granulated sugar, jaggery or coconut sugar)
- 250ml Water
Directions for 1 serve
- Place the sugar and water in a good quality saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the water is luke warm, add the chai and let the it boil.
- Once it reaches boiling put, put on simmer and let the sugar water simmer until it has thickened to a syrup consistency. This should take about 10 minutes.
- Take off the heat, let it cool and then strain into a jar.
