Our Assam CTC Black Tea are of the highest grade and is directly sourced from a small batch organic, single origin and fair trade tea garden in the Assam Valley of India.
CTC is a grade of tea that means crush, tear, curl. Which means the full leaf is crushed, teared and curled so that the resulting tea is granulated. CTC tea is the only type of tea to mix with spices to achieve a masala chai blend. It is deep bodied, strong, rich with flavour and perfectly made to pair with spices.
This tea is our tea of choice for blending with spices, it's truly amazing! Chai Walli is the only importer of this tea in Australasia.
We invite you to brew this by itself, so you can enjoy the full body flavour of Assam Black Tea. But we recommend to use this CTC tea to add more tea to your chai blends if you like your chai stronger with tea or to play around with your own masala chai creations.
