We really weren't happy with a lot of the turmeric lattes that were being offered by other companies - they were nothing like how our mum would make it! A Turmeric Latte is meant to be subtle, smooth and a little naturally sweet. So we took matters into our own hands and developed a really well balanced turmeric spice mix which uses turmeric powered with freshly ground spices like fennel and ginger.
For centuries, turmeric has been used in Ayurveda for its amazing array of benefits. Fun fact: the origin of turmeric latte is from India where they refer to it as Haldi Doodh. Haldi doodh translates to turmeric milk and is a mixture of turmeric with spices brewed with milk as a way to feel better and prepare for bed time. Our Chai Walli Turmeric Latte has benefits and tastes great too!
Directions for two serves.
1. Use a saucepan to warm two cups of milk.
2. Add 1 heaped teaspoon of turmeric blend and brew on medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
3. Add jaggery to sweeten if desired.
