Ajwain, or carom seed, is an authentic addition to any Indian pantry. With quite a strong aroma and taste, you don't need to add much to spice up your dish. Put it in your scrambled eggs, sprinkle it on your parantha or make a tea out of it.
Known in Ayurveda to have many great properties and is used in a lot of different Indian foods. It's probably for that reason that Ajwain is an essential ingredient in samosa's and parantha's - yum!
You can also roast & eat Ajwain when you've got indigestion, in Ayurveda roasted Ajwain is said to assist with bloating.
