Chaijito Cocktail Recipe

Chai Walli Chaijito Recipe

Ingredients for 1 serve

  • Chai Walli Sugar Syrup (direction below)
  • 3 Lime Wedges
  • 30ml White Rum
  • 5 Mint Leaves
  • 5 Coriander Sprigs
  • Ice cubes
  • Soda water
  • 1/2 tsp of Chai Walli to garnish on top (Caffeine Free blend recommended)

Directions for 1 serve

  1. Cut a lime into wedges – one lime will give around 8 wedges.
  2. Squeeze 2-3 wedges of lime into the cup and leave the lime in the cup.
  3. Add 5 mint leaves and 5 coriander sprigs to the cup.
  4. Add one (or more) shot of white rum and 5-6 ice cubes.
  5. Add 2-3 tablespoons of your Chai Walli sugar syrup and muddle all the ingredients together.
  6. Top up with soda water and garnish, add some chai and cinnamon to garnish on top.

 Chai Walli Sugar Syrup Recipe

Ingredients for 1 cup

  • 50g Chai Walli (Black Chai blend recommended)
  • 200g Sugar (you can use caster sugar, granulated sugar, jaggery or coconut sugar)
  • 250ml Water

Directions for 1 serve

  1. Place the sugar and water in a good quality saucepan over medium heat
  2. Once the water is luke warm, add the chai and let the it boil.
  3. Once it reaches boiling put, put the heat on simmer and let the sugar water simmer until it has a thick syrup consistency, this should take about 10 minutes.
  4. Take off the heat, let it cool for 30 minutes (or until cool) and then strain out the Chai Walli sugar syrup into a jar.
  5. Voila, you should now have finger licking Chai Walli sugar syrup to use in all your chai cocktails!
